10-year lifespan

The Alecto SA50 smoke alarm has a lithium battery that lasts no less than a decade. It’s energy-efficient and reliable. The high-quality optical sensor also has a 10-year lifespan. This ensures you will be alerted instantly if there is any smoke or fire in your home for the next 10 years. Smoke alarm obligation from 1 July 2022

From 1 July 2022 onwards, it is mandatory in the Netherlands to have a smoke alarm on every floor of the house and in any confined spaces that lead to escape routes. The Building Decree is amended and therefore it becomes a legal obligation to comply with it. This applies to homeowners and tenants as well as to existing and newly built homes.

Simple installation

This smoke alarm has a diameter of 7.6 cm / 3 inch and comes with a bottom plate, a 3M sticker, screws and plugs for easy and quick assembly. It’s recommended that it’s mounted to the ceiling. You can also attach it using the included 3M sticker. The smoke alarm is suitable for magnetic mounting (e.g., when the (excluded) Alecto MK-2 is used). Due to its flat size and sleek design, it hardly stands out. Unless it goes off, of course.

If the alarm goes off unnecessarily due to cooking or indoor grilling, the hush or pause button can be used. One touch of this button reduces the sensor’s sensitivity temporarily, so the alarm is temporarily paused.

Extensively tested

The Alecto SA50 smoke alarm has been extensively tested and meets the strict test standard requirements for international smoke alarms known as EN14604:2005/AC:2008. It is advisable to test the smoke alarm occasionally, which can be done using the test and reset button. Press once and this small smoke detector shows what it’s capable of.
